Growing up in Dorset, I studied A-levels in pure maths, applied maths and physics and went onto study maths at the University of Nottingham and for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in secondary maths at Westminster College in Oxford. I have taught at a number of secondary schools in the midlands and the North East and at a large primary school for ten years, where I was the maths lead. I have now been tutoring maths online for two years full-time. I have been a marker and senior marker for Key Stage 2 maths SATs papers for over 20 years.
